'A year ago you would...

never have had the patience to
sit and sort that out!'

says Ted.

And don't you just hate them,
when they say things that you know
in your heart is so frigging
TRUE!

Anyway, I sat and persevered.
To be honest I can't believe I did.
I must be improving in my old age...
No surely not!

Thanks to Carol in Cairns I have got my
Doris blog linked in.  I haven't done anything
with it yet, mind.  No worries I will.

After much soul-searing I have decided
on telling Doris' story.

    1. Oh Teacherly Carol, you have answered a question (unwittingly, mind) about where the apostrophe goes. I said that it was Doris' meaning... Doris's, which in my maiden's water I knew to be wrong. So from henceforth, it will be Doris' story. thank you dear chum in Cairns for taking the time out to teach me. You would have laughed though, I kept getting it wrong, having a gentle cuss or two and starting again, until hey presto... I did it! Hence Ted's words of encouragement.

    2. Re apostrophes LL, it is now commonly accepted to have s's ~ so either is acceptable now in Australian English, not sure about British English ~ but I am definitely old school.

I am so excited for you ~ no matter how much cussing there was :)

  4. Where, where, where...ah found it!
I'm looking forward to more of Doris' story.
By the way, there is no need to warn us. We are all a bit odd, mad or otherwise defective - unless it's just me and the people I know. I do sometimes wonder if there is another world out there called Normal, but, if there is, I haven't found it yet!

    1. Couldn't agree more Nilly! Normal? Who wants to be NORMAL anyroad? The beauty of human beings is their differences; odd little foibles.. don't you just love them!

I feel strangely free now I've dipped my toe in. Hold tight!
